Dr. Morita originated in Taiwan, where the Morita Department Store was opened in 1935. Morita Department Store is a wholesale and retail company specialized in household products and skin care products. In 2000, after years of researches and development, Dr. Morita set up a research centre in Japan with the help of Japanese technology. Facial mask products were developed and sold.  


In 2004, Dr. Morita expanded the scale of production in Taiwan. Leading by Dr. Jou Jun Xu, the corporation reinforced researches and development in facial masks based on medical concepts. A huge volume of advertisements was also presented in different media, making Dr. Morita popular and a famous brand in the Taiwanese market.


In 2012, Morita Biotech HK Limited was officially set up. To cater for the special needs of Hong Kong people, the headquarter in Taiwan has developed a lot of outstanding facial mask products. Currently five series of high-quality facial masks and eye masks are exclusively sold at Mannings in Hong Kong, providing solutions to the skin which include hydrating, whitening, repairing, soothing and firming. In addition, the “Black Facial Mask” series is specially designed to fit in the Hong Kong market. The two facial mask products in the series, one giving a double effect of purifying and hydrating and another giving a double effect of purifying and whitening, offer an instant and effective way of skin care which best suits the needs of Hong Kong people.


Apart from facial masks, Dr. Morita introduces in 2015 the Hyaluronic Acid Extraordinary Serum and Hyaluronic Acid Extraordinary Emulsion in Hong Kong based on the formula of the very popular Hyaluronic Acid Facial Mask. The new product can give the skin a double effect of hydrating and water retention, keeping the skin soft and supple for 30 hours long.


Now Dr. Morita is not only popular among consumers, but also well recognized by different organizations in the public media. The brand is not only highly recommended by newspaper and magazine editors, but is also selected in the 2014 Miss Hong Kong Pageant as the specific facial mask used.   


In 2015, Dr. Morita is delighted to have again the famous Hong Kong star Miss Priscilla Wong to be the endorser of its facial masks products, together with the launch of a series of television and print advertisements. Besides, the charming champion of Miss Chinese International, Kelly Cheung, is the endorser of the “Black Facial Mask” series, which also enhances the brand image of Dr. Morita.
